George V. Higgins’ COGAN’S TRADE Brought To Big Screen

Cogan’s Trade is one of those classic George V. Higgins books. It has great dialogue and a gutter level view of criminals that rivals his masterpiece, The Friends Of Eddie Coyle. The book follows an enforcer out to get two punks who robbed a mob-connected poker game. A film adaptation titled Killing Them Softly starring Brad Pitt, with great character actors like James Gandolfini and Sam Shepard, will be out October 19th. Here’s the trailer:
